Let's ponder the future... and Thom has been really poor.
I have been sleeping on couches for 3 months and had sporatic contact with the internet, and no money. Some of you know that I grew of in a very poor Union household with a family of five living on $10,000 a year. Things are better now, but I didn’t have much money and it has taken me a sec to catch my stride and get to writing again. Moving out of Spain was hard. It was emotionally hard, I love it there. But it was expensive too. So finally getting settled again. No furniture yet, but coming soon. But have an apartment in the Castro, and internet, and I am almost caught up with live again.
It’s good to write my thoughts down for myself again. I know I frustrate people. I’ve become a cynic and I am deeply disappointed in how the Dems are handling their majority. I’m sad to still see so many ill people in the street and so many poor. Didn’t see it in Europe. It’s so starkly different here.
So let me know what you think. Link back to here and leave me some comments, not just on Facebook or Kos, but here at thomlynchblog too. We actually have a faithful audience from around the world. Some of it is in Spanish, but not much.
Come be part of my family. I’d love to talk to you.
Been blog free for a few days
September 1st, 2009Looking for a job is a full-time job, so blogging will be a bit light, but I will still be posting. Thanks.
I am so excited to be at my new blog home
August 22nd, 2009
As you know, I’ve left Madrid. I miss it terribly and will always have a great love for the city that I called home for the last year. Unfortunately, the economy didn’t let me stay longer. But I’m also thrilled to be back home in the City by the Bay, beautiful San Francisco California.
The other new thing that I’ve done is consolidate the blogs that I was writing in Madrid to one all encompassing blog. I find that I really miss writing when I don’t jot something down in a blog. Maybe it’s ego, or maybe it’s just a way to get my feelings out. But I enjoy it. I was afraid that I would lose everything that I had written, but the magic of the web has allowed me to save everything from the other blogs and combine them here.
So I hope to catch up with you soon! I have so much on my mind. The new address is www.thomlynchblog.com. Easy, uh?
